May 3rd: Scarlett O’Hara

This day in history Margaret Mitchell wins Pulitzer prize for “Gone With the Wind. Write a poem as if you are Scarlett O’Hara. Here is my entry:

Scarlett’s View

My point of view,

Of what we should do,

Is let destiny come and stay out of my way,

The day is young,

As am I,

I stare at the cloudless sky,

Unlike the non-existent clouds,

I want to be seen,

I want to be heard,

I want to be as loud as a bird.
